This
really aint to important but I'm sure quite a few people would like to
create map overviews when releasing there maps
Right
im assuming you all know how to create the actual demo files, Right to
make the frags into avi files its fairly simple, basically do this...
Load your demo up, by typing playdemo <demoname> into the console
this will load your demo, now when you want to capture the frags just
type in
startmovie <name> 30 into the console this will capture 30 frames
per second under the name of <name> which ever you put in there,
when you want to stop capturing just type endmovie
NOTE PLEASE CAPTURE IN 1024 resolution, with brightness and gamma on
default. ( brightness 1 and gamma 3 ) guns on the right hand side (
cl_righthand 1 ) and no netgraph on. all default skins unless u have my
hltv 1.5 skins there acceptable.
Now you have your kills captured you`ll need to put them into VIDEOMACH
http://www.snapfiles.com/get/videomach.html
to do this go file > open and select all of the frames. Now manually
delete the frames where the console is down and up ( end and start
probably ) and any frames where you guns flicker ( usually caused by
demo lag )
now press the output settings button which looks like this

On
the files tab select video only and type the path under that where you
want it to be saved for example C:\kills.avi format AVI of course. now
go on the video tab and resize the resolution to 640 480 now click on
format options on the same screen
Select the Microsoft MPEG-4 ( either v2 or v3 ) now click on configure,
and set the bitrate ( date rate ) to the max ( usually about 6000 )
ok the screens now one last task, select all of the frames to do this
just select the first one hold down your shift key and select the last
one and go to video effect > add at the top and add a sharpen filter,
and a brightness filter set the RGB to "10 10 10" ok that then
your ready to compile.
to do this just press the |> triangle button next to the output
button show above
