I started to build colony back in July 2002 it was initially just a team room I made which quickly became into a few more rooms

which then went into being called ns_doom, I then left the map for a few months after receiving a message from a friend, 

which he basically encouraged me to continue on the map, just after the 1.0 release, after hundreds of test builds, compiles and so on it finally 

reached version 1.
